Ultimate Spider-Man # 119 cover

USM might just be the best superhero comic Marvel publishes these days. Not only is it removed from the latest One More Secret Planet World War Invasion Initiative Messiah Annihilation Complex ridiculous crossover, but it reads like it’s being acted. As if the actors are already chosen, rehearsed, and onscreen. The likely cause is Bendis’ skill with dialogue, something which a number of other writers could learn from.

And, um, Magneto? Ouch. This is guaranteed to end badly for the heroes.
