The Goon # 23

There’s some big bag on its way into the Goon’s life, and it looks like everyone’s scared. It’s great to see The Goon expand beyond the jokes and into a longer, more developed storyline. The jokes are always appreciated and well done, so don’t think that there is any downplaying of them here. This issue still has the famously twisted Powell humor in the children fighting who gets the “salmon squeezings”, a.k.a, the salmon guts. It’s simply nice to see more here than just the jokes. Perhaps Dave Stewart’s fantastic coloring jobs are offering more time to Powell to work on the rest of the book.
