Wow, do I feel like a jerk. It’s now months since Rex Libris 12 was released, and I’m just now sitting down to write something about it. But, I only feel slightly jerkish, as Rex Libris is one of those comics that requires attention in order to read thoroughly.

So here we are in part 2 of 3 in the Rex vs. Cthulhu showdown. Now, things get a bit hairy in this one as Rex not only faces off against the most monstrous of all evil monsters, but various enemies also show up to start some extra trouble. But the allusions, made up history, and wordplay break up the superheroics with some humor. The entire comic is a fun read, from publisher and head blowhard B. Barry Horst’s pretentious introduction to the humorously deranged text piece on the inside back cover.

There may be a few comics out there as good as Rex Libris, but none better. You should head over to SLG Publishing right now to buy it.
