Justice # 12 cover

What a big load of very pretty crap. Why do I punish myself by buying such absolute rubbish?

Every time one of the Alex Ross / Jim Krueger stories is coming out, I tell myself that I’m not going to by this one. And every time it’s on the counter at the comic shop, I’m convinced that it might not be that bad because the cover is so pretty. And every series is disappointing as the story can’t live up to the art. Jim Krueger has written some OK stuff on his own, so I’m inclined to think that Alex Ross is the source of the bad storytelling. Perhaps Ross should stick to his strengths on the art side rather than venture into storytelling.

Evidently, there’s some new series planned with Ross and Krueger. I’m telling myself now that I won’t be buying it. We’ll see if my strength holds out at the comic shop when that first issue is released.

I totally agree. This whole 12-issue series was a waste of time. But be strong, you can resist the temptation to buy bad comics!
