Ex Machina # 25 # 1 Cover

Issue 25 is a nice change of pace from the near interminable stretch of political intrigue. While I enjoy politics, sometimes I read Ex Machina and feel like Peter Griffin yelling “For crying out loud, somebody throw a pie!” Issue 25 is a stand-alone story about Bradbury, the mayor’s bodyguard and friend. The guard flashes back though his life as a hired killer points a gun at him. Vaughan does a nice job fleshing out Bradbury into something more than just another staffer. Let’s hope that Vaughan shifts focus from politics to the far more interesting character development.
