Now this is how a comic arc should start. Morrison comes into this one with a big “screw you” to decompression and gives us a nice battle and a near dead Joker in the first few pages.
The real gem about Morrison’s run is from his early indication that Bruce Wayne playboy millionaire will be making an appearance. Hopefully, Morrison is signaling a future and more permanent change to include the character of Wayne along with the character of Batman. Some of the best episodes of the Batman Animated Series included the Wayne character, and it seems like a lot of writers have left behind this human part of the Batman universe. It’s good to see its return.
