All Star Superman # 6
Writer: Grant Morrison; Pencils: Frank Quitely; Inks, Colors: Jamie Grant; Lettering: Phil Balsman;

Brad Curran really hit the high points on what makes this comic succeed and fail, so definitely go read his review. It’s good stuff.
As to what I can add to what’s already been said all over the blogosphere [note: has there ever been a stupider word than "blogosphere"?], this is the first issue where I really felt that this was a good and complete story. The first four issues were very shaky. Issue # 5 hit on a lot of good ideas and characterization, but it all seemed a bit too flippant for my tastes. This issue had everything from the joy of being Superman, playing catch with Krypto on the moon, to the high cost of impetuousness and pride rivaling that of Achilles and Odysseus. Morrison finally produced an issue that lives up to the high expectations for this book, and it’s been thoroughly enjoyable.
